February 20th was the anniversary of Kathryn Kuhlman’s death; I wish I could have met her. She had great respect for the Holy Spirit, a powerful ministry, and displayed the imperfections of the human condition. She was a devoted servant. Kathryn impacted the lives of countless individuals who attended her services and continues to transform lives decades after her death. Katheryn was authentic, she embraced the highs and lows of life, never forgetting the faithfulness of God. She sought to share the gospel, preach salvation through Jesus, and ultimately had a powerful healing ministry.

Lord, I am not Kathryn, but I know you can use me. When I am weak and when I am strong, I need your mercy. Even in my darkest hour when the World feels like it is crumbling around me through your mercies I am not consumed (Lamentations 3:22). God, I pray for strength to endure the storms. I pray for those in the middle of hardship that they might feel your steadfast love. In Lamentations 3:55-57 it says,

I called on Your name, O Lord, from the lowest pit. You have heard my voice; do not hide Your ear from my sighing, from my cry for help. You drew near on the day I called you and said, “do not fear!”

NKJV

In our darkest hour, when we are in the deepest pit, the Lord responds to our desperate cries and says, “do not fear!” You have the steadfast love of God! Even if you do not love him back, He has not forgotten you.  If you do not know Jesus as your Lord and Savior, call out to God, tell him of your desire to be saved, acknowledge that God raised Jesus from the dead, and accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior and thank Him for the gift of salvation (Romans 10:9-13).

Heavenly Father, thank you for the gift of salvation, the freedom from the shackles of sin, and Your steadfast love. -Amen
