Exemption clause

Are you hiding under a storm cloud of doubt or shame, secretly questioning that you could ever be loved or forgiven? Feelings of unworthiness bubbling and churning just under the surface, like somehow all the promises in the Bible are true, but have an exemption clause, they do not apply to you. Paul has a lot to say on this issue; he actively persecuted Christians as a Pharisee and was present for the stoning of Stephen (Acts 6-7).

For I am the least of the apostles and do not even deserve to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God.

1 Corinthians 15:9 NIV

But we know Paul, for many of us he is in the top two of people to meet in Heaven. Let that plant a seed if Paul could be transformed, so can you!

10 But by the grace of God I am what I am, and his grace to me was not without effect. No, I worked harder than all of them—yet not I, but the grace of God that was with me. 11 Whether, then, it is I or they, this is what we preach, and this is what you believed.

1 Corinthians 15:9-11 NIV

Brother or sister in Christ I feel the weight of that burden on your life, and I pray that the living, breathing, absolute Word of God washes the mud from your eyes so you can see! Truly see, the abundant love, of our Father in Heaven and be touched by His grace and mercy. There is no exemption clause for you or anyone else, all are welcome to the grace, mercy, and forgiveness offered through the shed blood of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Fix your eyes upon Jesus Christ and ask for forgiveness, ask for healing. There is no sin the blood of Christ cannot forgive, but you must accept the gift. Lift your arms, accept Jesus into your heart, or draw close to him again. None of us are worthy, we all fail, if Jesus can use Paul (Saul), he can use you.

God, I ask for you to touch all those who read these words, that they might feel your presence and be made new by your incredible love. That the Holy Spirit would move freely in them, and they would put aside the selfish ways of the flesh and yield to your will. There is redemption in Him. Jesus, my savior, and friend thank you for this priceless gift. I love you, Jesus. -Amen
